Da Hong Pao — “Big Red Robe” — is the most famous of the Wuyi rock teas, and the most faked. Ours is roasted in three stages over charcoal from Zhengyan and high-mountain leaf, showing the classic profile: dark stone fruit, a cocoa edge, roasted grain, and the mineral aftertaste the Chinese call yan yun, “rock rhyme”.
